RCB Signs Muzarabani to Fill in for Ngidi in IPL

Royal Challengers Bengaluru or RCB have recruited Zimbabwe pace bowler Blessing Muzarabani as an interim replacement for Lungi Ngidi in the Indian Premier League for this season. Ngidi will depart the IPL by May 26 so that he can get ready for the grand World Test Championship final between South Africa and Australia to be held at Lord's. In the meantime, Ngidi will continue playing for RCB in their next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 23 at home.

Muzarabani is a newcomer to the IPL and has never played in the league. RCB signed him for 75 lakh rupees.
Last year Muzarabani played in the IPL but only as a practice bowler for Lucknow Super Giants. He now gets an opportunity to showcase his talent in the main league.

Josh Hazlewood is yet another pacer RCB recruited for this year but he is coming back from a shoulder injury in Australia.
He will join the team prior to the onset of the playoffs. Similar to Ngidi, Hazlewood will also play in the final of the World Test Championship from June 11.

Blessing Muzarabani is a fast bowler tall in height who bowls with great rhythm like Ngidi and Hazlewood.
He has appeared in numerous games for Zimbabwe such as 12 Test matches, 55 One Day Internationals, and 70 T20 games. Recently in a Test match against Bangladesh he took nine wickets and won the Player of the Match for his superb performance.

Apart from international cricket, Muzarabani has experience in various major franchise leagues. He has also featured for Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League. He featured for Gulf Giants in the ILT20 league and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the Caribbean Premier League.

This action by RCB to include Muzarabani will provide them with a solid fast bowling resource while Ngidi is readied for the critical Test final. The side will have the correct blend of experience and new talent as they battle to leave their mark in the IPL.
With Ngidi playing up to May 26 and Hazlewood arriving later the bowling line-up appears promising. Muzarabani will look to capitalize on this moment and prove that he has a right to be part of the top bowlers.

Briefly RCB is set to tackle the remaining IPL season with this new bowling attack. Fans will be monitoring to observe how Muzarabani fares on such a large platform and the way the team is set up for the important matches to come.
