RCB Prepares for Decisive Match with Practice on Sunday Afternoon
Before the IPL 2025 final, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) conducted an important practice session on Sunday afternoon in Ahmedabad, perfecting strategies for their next encounter.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the runners-up of IPL 2025, will conduct their practice session on Sunday afternoon. They will practice at the B Ground of the Narendra Modi Stadium between 12 noon and 3 PM prior to playing Qualifier 2 in the evening later. No practice has been permitted in the night or evening by the local association to keep the ground free for the match. RCB is waiting to know whether it will face Mumbai Indians or Punjab Kings in the final on June 3.
RCB reached Ahmedabad on Saturday following their victory in Qualifier 1 on Thursday. They were in Chandigarh for a day prior to flying to Ahmedabad on Friday. Mumbai Indians, meanwhile, flew directly from their base camp in Mullanpur to Ahmedabad following their victory in the Eliminator game against Gujarat Titans on Friday evening. They did not go back to their Chandigarh hotel and arrived at their Ahmedabad hotel at 5 in the morning on Saturday.
The Mumbai Indians squad had a team of around 65 to 70 individuals with them. The team comprised players support staff and their family members. Immediately after their game on Friday evening they shifted from the stadium to the Chandigarh airport without going back to the hotel. They had a private chartered plane waiting for them at the airport. A Mumbai Indians player stated that they took off in flight at 2:30 or 3 AM and arrived in Ahmedabad at 4:30 AM. The team arrived at their hotel half an hour later. The team owners present at the stadium flew back to Mumbai on a different private aircraft.
The Mumbai Indians did not practice on Saturday since the players were granted a day of rest. But some support staff went to the Narendra Modi Stadium in the evening for a light training session. Punjab Kings came to Ahmedabad on Friday night and trained at the stadium on Saturday night. They trained only for fielding from 6 PM to 9 PM. The entire team participated in the session to prepare them for their second knockout match.
Unfortunately, there was a light rain shower towards the end during Punjab Kings' practice. The groundsmen covered the pitch and the players were unable to inspect the wicket conditions. On match day, the weather is likely to be clear and good. The teams are ready to fight it out in the thrilling Qualifier 2 match later in the evening on Sunday.
