Emotional Ashwin Opens Up After Fan Asks Him to Quit CSK

Ravichandran Ashwin was left in an awkward position after a fan asked him to quit his favorite Chennai Super Kings while taking part in a live session on YouTube. Ashwin who was picked up by CSK for Rs 9.75 crore in the IPL 2025 auction conceded that he did not play well enough this season. He was able to take just seven wickets in nine games and got only 33 runs. CSK was last in the points table and failed to qualify for IPL 2025 playoffs. They never failed to qualify before in their history.

When the fan told to leave the team Ashwin did not dismiss it. He read the post and replied with honesty. He stated that he knew his performances this time were not up to the mark. But he requested fans to realise that he too wanted CSK to win. He informed all that he is trying his best to improve and return next season stronger. He stated that if he gets the ball then he will bowl and if he gets the bat then he will bat. Ashwin vowed he would not squander this opportunity to better himself. He stated he will try everything he can to assist CSK to perform better next year.

Ashwin described that he is aware of the areas he went wrong. He stated he conceded too many runs in the powerplay overs. He acknowledged bowling in the powerplay is challenging but he needs to look for new ways to tackle it. He stated that he is willing to work harder and come up with additional options to bowl well in powerplay next season. He stated that he is concentrating on those things that he can control and he wishes to give his best for the team.

Ashwin revealed that he loves CSK more than anybody can imagine. He has played for the team for a long time. He played for CSK in 2009 and 2010 for the first time. He played with the team for seven years and he has had numerous good times with them. He took CSK to the playoffs numerous times and even made them the IPL champions. Ashwin informed that it is the first time that he has ever been so unhappy as a player in the IPL because CSK is very close to his heart.

He told that it is hurting to be at the bottom of the table with his team because he knows how much effort each and every one of them puts in. He told that he has never felt this way earlier. It pains him to see his team performing poorly and that is why he was in a corner crying. He told that he is very emotional because he wants CSK to become the best once again. Ashwin stated that he has only one aim at present and that is to work hard and make his team perform better next season.

Despite a fan asking him to leave CSK Ashwin made it apparent that he will not be going anywhere. He stated that he will do everything he can to return stronger and assist CSK in reaching the top again. He explained that he knows the passion of the fans for CSK as he shares the same passion for the team. He also explained that sometimes fans speak so harshly because they care too much. But he wanted the fans to know that he cares more.

Ashwin explained that he is not scared of criticism because he knows it is because of the fans' love and passion. He mentioned that he is always ready to listen to what the fans have to say. He mentioned that he will utilize the criticism to be an improved player. He mentioned that he would like to use the disappointment of this season as a motivation for the coming season. He mentioned that he is already planning on how to do better and achieve improved results the next time.

Ashwin also added that cricket is a game of twists and turns. He added that not all the seasons would go well and sometimes even matters don't go as per the plan. But he added that he has faith in hard work and commitment. He added that he knows that he can perform better and he wants to show it to the whole world. He added that he won't give up and he won't stop attempting.

Ultimately Ashwin demonstrated that he is not only a cricketer but a real team man. He expressed that he is willing to do anything to ensure that CSK does not have another tough season like this one. He stated that he is unhappy with what transpired this year but he is not going to let that get to him. He mentioned that he is going to take this as a lesson and return with more determination and strength.
