Bully Ray, known as Buh Buh Ray Dudley during his early career, shared insights into how their relationship has evolved over the past 25 years. "I've learned from guys like Raven and Sandman, eavesdropping on them putting stuff together," Ray noted. He emphasized the impact that Raven's contributions had on the ECW product, highlighting how their work created some of the most memorable moments in the promotion's history. "If you go back and watch and listen to the crowds during matches between those guys, those were some of the best things that ever went on in ECW," he remarked.

Ray also recounted a humorous story from his early wrestling days that showcased the dynamic of their relationship. He recalled living at his parents' house when he received a call from Raven at 5 a.m. "I was scared at that moment, not knowing if I was going to receive wrath from my mother or hazing from my industry elder," Ray explained. However, the call turned out to be constructive; Raven had watched Ray's footage and wanted to provide him with some valuable feedback, which Ray appreciated greatly.
