A New Start for Dhanashree Verma Post Divorce with Yuzvendra Chahal

Popular social media influencer and ex-wife of Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal Dhanashree Verma has finally spoken out after weeks of silence regarding her highly publicized divorce. The duo who were a class apart from their peers eventually called off their marriage after separating for over eighteen months. Their formal separation was on March 20, 2025 when the court approved the divorce. This was a shock to many fans who had been watching them since they got married in December 2020. Their time together was brief as they separated in June 2022 and then filed for divorce.

Their case also took a legal turn when the Bombay High Court intervened. In March the high court directed the family court to expedite the decision regarding their divorce plea. Usually couples who file for divorce under the Hindu Marriage Act have to wait for a six month cooling off period. However in this case both Chahal and Dhanashree filed a joint petition asking for that period to be waived. The court agreed and the cooling period was removed so that the process could be completed faster.

Their marriage that began in December 2020 had started on a joyous note with many of their fans welcoming the union of a renowned cricketer and a talented social media influencer. But by mid 2022 things had changed between them which resulted in their breakup. They decided to split peacefully eighteen months later officially moving on as per mutual consent. Though the marriage did not succeed the decision to part ways amicably reflected maturity from both ends.
